Veneers provide an excellent cosmetic result for patients looking to cover up imperfections with their teeth. Porcelain veneers fit over the front surface of a tooth, and can last in the region of 10-15 years with good care.

Whilst veneers aren’t as restorative as crowns (which are commonly used more often when a tooth has sustained damage and cosmetic wear) porcelain veneers are well-known for their ability to mimic a real tooth. Veneers are also far less invasive, as they don’t require as much drilling, or a root canal prior to treatment. If you’ve got small abnormal gaps in between your teeth, we can also address this issue with veneers.

The translucent nature of porcelain means veneers made from this material are able to capture the unique appearance of real tooth enamel, and they’re also highly resistant to stains.

Procedure

Step 1

Consultation and examination

We’ll begin by examining your case and outlining your options for treatment. X-rays and intraoral photographs will be taken, so we can get a clear picture of how to plan your treatment, and to give you a prospective look at what your teeth will look like once treatment is carried out.

Step 2

Preparation

A small amount of tooth enamel is etched from the tooth that will be fitted with the veneer, under local anesthetic. This is to make sure the finished result is the same thickness as your existing teeth. The veneer will be matched to the shade of your natural teeth, and a digital impression is taken so it can be created by the dental technician.

Step 3

Temporary veneer

We will fit you with a temporary veneer, whilst we wait for your bespoke veneer to be created by the lab.

Step 4

Permanent veneer

At a second visit, your temporary veneer can be removed to make way for your new bespoke veneer. This is fitted and adjusted, after which your bite is checked. Using a strong adhesive cement, the veneer is fitted over the front surface of your tooth.

Amazing dental clinic starting from receptionist and finishing with Dr. Karolina Kraujelytė, she’s done amazing job literally saving the tooth which likely needed to be extracted, can’t thank enough. I came at complex smile for just one implant after checking 3 different clinics.. I had an absolutely great experience. I have chosen Complex smile because the specialist goes straight to the point, no one in the clinic is wasting their time about trying to sell you treatment you didn't come for. Even when I had an emergency 2 days before Christmas the specialist did everything to see me at the clinic despite he was on holidays. I live now on the other side of the city but I will keep them for my regular hygiene check. Thank you so much for everything, I can finally now eat normally !
